We are very proud to be running a Kokoda Track adventure for the Jason Rich Foundation. This trip will run from the 14th June to 22nd June 2014. These dates are depart Brisbane and arrive back in Brisbane.

What is the Jason Rich Foundation?

The Jason Rich Foundation was established in May 2011 after Jason’s death in a single vehicle car accident on the 30th of December 2009 – just 29 days after his 21st birthday. The reason we decided to take on this challenge is because we now know the impact that losing a young life has on the people left behind and we want to do everything in our power to ensure that Jason’s legacy lives on and that his passing can make a massive positive impact on the world as we know it. We see losing Jason as a great opportunity to educate our young drivers and change the way our young people view driving and more importantly how they act behind the wheel.The way we are doing this is by funding year 12 students through hole day defensive driving courses. These courses have been offered through schools for years now but through our research and experience have been vastly underutilized by students due to the cost involved. For a student to go through one of these courses it costs between $150-$200+ which unfortunately is generally out of reach for most 17 year olds in today’s society. We’ve found that once the financial barrier is eliminated the kids actually can’t wait to get in and do the course. By greatly increasing the number of students going through these we are able to greatly increase the impact on the roads by having a more educated and skilled group of young drivers.

The Adventure – Kokoda Track – PNG

Depart: Brisbane 14th June 2014

Itinerary: Trekking for 8 days and 7 nights

Direction: We follow the direction of the original battle in 1942 – from Kokoda Village through to Owers Corner.

Distance: 96km

Terrain: Rough and Undulating

Fitness: Medium to High Level of Fitness. There will be a full training program run for this adventure.

Cost: $5,200 all inclusive

Nb. This is a very special rate for the Jason Rich Foundation. We would challenge all participants to raise a minimum of $500 for the foundation as a commitment to attending this amazing trip.
